Every where you turn there is advice on the best way to lose stomach fat, but I want to discuss some common sense ideas that might be effective. There are so many gimmicks that claim to magically melt away fat, but most are hard to follow through on for the long haul.
One thing that would help is to limit the amount of fast foods you eat. Even if you have a really busy lifestyle, you can make healthier choices. Choose the grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad instead of super-sizing the french fries and opting for the breaded, deep-fried chicken sandwich.
Also, get rid of the foods in your house that are hard to resist, especially if they are refined simple carbs. Snacks like cookies, crackers, and chips are artery-clogging, fat-packing foods that are keeping you from reaching your goals.
The best way to lose stomach fat is to keep the delicious and healthy berries, nuts, veggies to nibble on when you are hungry. Add some berries and nuts to a cup of yogurt or throw down a handful of pistachios.
Limit how much you eat after 5 p.m., especially the carbs. Your body needs carbohydrates for energy. They fuel your brain and help your muscles to function properly, but be sure to eat the complex carbs instead of the simple carbs.
Complex carbohydrates include foods like fruits and vegetables, beans, brown rice, and whole grains. These foods provide you with vital nutrients and vitamins. So along with high-protein foods like eggs, nuts and meat, eating a healthy diet is the best way to lose stomach fat.
Another issue is your physical fitness. Do you exercise at least 5 times a week? I’m not talking about training for a marathon, but I’m also not talking about staring at the TV without moving. And no, most video games don’t count as exercise.
Mindlessly pumping away on a treadmill for 20-30 minutes a day is better than nothing, but it is not going to be the best way to lose stomach fat. Get outside and pull weeds in your flower garden or mow your lawn.
Even better, perform some high-intensity training with various routines such as free weights that will work the core. Do various types of planks and pushups, or sprints up a hill and walk back down. There are many exercises that work the core as well as getting your heart rate up to get some cardio as well.
One other big factor that most people don’t focus on is your attitude towards weight loss and diet. If you believe with all of your being that you will succeed in your fitness goals, you have a much better chance to prevail. Your optimism or lack thereof, is self fulfilling. You have the power to control your world.
