What is the easiest way to get flat abs?
Your best bet at getting flat Abs is to reduce body fat percentage (to find your body fat percentage you usually need callipers, but there are alternate methods to be found via Google). Around 8-14% body fat and you should be able to see your Abs, it really depends on the way that your body distributes fat, which in turn depends on genes.
Unfortunately there is no way to lose fat in a particular area so to drop your body fat percentage you need to do regular cardio, around forty minutes a day about 4 times a week e.g. swimming, running etc… You also need a healthy diet.
Once your body fat percentage is low enough you can really get to work on toning Abs and/or building them in which case there are a number of workouts you can do most of which are adaptations of crunches that work different areas of the Abs. (avoid situps)
It is hard work inevitably, but it is quite enjoyable once you get into it and it doesn’t only make your Abs look better but also makes your whole body look more toned and healthy.

First of all, you don’t need to get your abs flat. All abs are flat.
What you see is just fat covering your already flatten abs.
So if you want to see your abs, just burn the fat (yes, it’s that simple

To burn fat, you need cardio. It’s the only way to burn fat. Nothing else works.
Here is a good plan:
3 days a week
30-45 mins a day
Make it intense enough so its a bit hard to speak while breathing. If you are out of breath and can’t speak then you are overdoing.
Cardio is just one thing you need. It doesn’t work by itself.
What few know that cardio also burns muscles (the part that actually burns the fat). To stop that from happening, and to make sure you’re only burning pure fat, you save your muscles by doing weight training.
